With the spread of the Covid-19 virus brings about a tremendous amount of uncertainty and fear. I, along with so many others, have had to change many things in my daily life. I find myself in a situation where I can’t provide massage services or teach live classes and events. Many of us have had to either start working from home or temporarily suspend our careers with no clear timeline on when we can resume. We feel powerless and afraid. The list of things we can’t do seems to grow each day, so I ask myself what CAN I do? What can WE do?
For starters I have begun filming short Qi Gong meditation videos to post on social media. You can find them on my Facebook page Eastern Harmony Healing https://www.facebook.com/easternharmonyhealing/. These clips are provided to help everyone ease the burden and stress we are currently experiencing. I find it increasingly important for me to keep some type of routine including exercise, tai chi and meditation, healthy eating habits and time outside. I encourage you all to write out a routine for yourself (adjusting accordingly as needed) to keep your mind and body nourished.
One of the worst things we can do to ourselves is to let stress and fear take over. The more stressed we become, the weaker our immunities get. It’s vital to stay active and keep our immune system healthy and strong. This pandemic drives home the point, now more than ever, that our health and wellness are priceless.
